DIRO-MORREH MINE

The overall economic goal in mining operation is to remove the slightest amount of material while acquiring the greatest return on investment by processing the most marketable as well as profitable mineral product. To minimize capital investment while accessing the highest valued material within a mineral deposit, a mine plan should develop that exactly details the manner in which the ore body would be extracted and processed. Since this mine mainly contains 3 types of stones namely: limestone, Marble and Basalts. After physical and chemical analysis Basalt and Marble defined as target materials and mine plane based on their geological, geographical and market situation have been prepared. Regarding to geological condition two different extraction techniques for marble and Basalts deposits defined. According to these plans marble can be extracted by drill and blast technique can be and employing mechanical extraction machine is the most suitable option for extracting Basalts.
